PRINCE2

PRINCE2 is a project management method for the management and control of projects. Its full name is PRojects IN Controlled Environments, and like several other major frameworks, it is published by a department of the UK government. It was first published in the mid nineties, with periodic revisions since then.

The method comprises eight main processes:
Directing a project
Planning
Starting a project
Initiating a project
Controlling a stage
Managing product delivery
Managing stage boundaries
Closing a project

And up to 4 'phases':
Starting a project
Initiating a project
Implementation of a project
Closing a project
